Review: Hand of Fire - World of Deception (Single)
Hand of Fire has been one of my newest favorite acts, since hearing "Let the Killings Begin" back in 2016. Amazing song. I still prefer the original over the re-recorded version on the album, but whatever. They're both amazing!
"World of Deception", from what I've heard will be the title of the upcoming sophomore follow up to "Nuclear Sunrise". Which is a fantastic title for an album.
The track begins with some faded in guitars and some sick bass. The drums kick in with cymbal/bass action, before the thrash beat comes enters. Tiago James de Souza, of course does a phenomenal solo. Jim Settle's Vocals are insane! It's kind of like last album's vocals, but more throaty screaming and some Zao-esque. Bill Davies' drum performance brings it; nailing the very psychotic and technical thrash parts. Tom Eaton. What can I say? I love the voice his instrument has on this track. Any band that leads into a song with the Bass, I just have an immediate respect for. The song clocks in at around 3:30 minutes.
Overall, the band just annihilated all perceptions and expectations with this track. Phenomenal performances from all the members. Especially Settle, who destroyed on this track.
