The band would release their debut EP on June 24, 2008, titled The Everlasting. Johnson departed from the band soon after the release. The band would sign to the independent label known as Oort Records in 2009, followed by their release of The Sounds of Earth on February 24th. Less than 6 months later, the band signed to Facedown Records and released their sophomore album, Creator on July 21st. Henderson departed from the band in 2010. The band would record their final record, Give Me Rest, in 2011 and release the album on July 5th. After the album was released, the band drifted apart and disbanded. Oschner formed his own solo project, called Everything in Slow Motion, while Silbernagel joined Glower. In 2017, the band reunited for Facedown Fest 2017, the label's 20th anniversary, with the lineup of Oschner, Silbernagel and Schwartz. Soon after the reunion was announced, Hands released a new EP, titled New Heaven / New Earth on February 3rd.. The band also played Your Memorial's farewell show on November 11, 2017. Hands has influenced many bands and are considered one of the most listened to bands on the Facedown roster, despite their short time as a band.
