Community: What's Going On
Hey y'all! What's up with you guys? I figured I'd give y'all a little update with what I've been doing. Music news has been a little dry here this week, so here's some filler. So I've been writing with The Metal Onslaught, as you should know. I've been writing articles with them since late November 2017. It was like I got hired six days after Thanksgiving. I've written articles revealing Shadow Puncher's artwork, Tourniquet's upcoming album details, (which I will do a piecing together of what we know so far shortly) and a few articles on a few band's finishing albums or finishing in general (Silent Planet for the former, Darkness Divided for the later).
On the music side of things, I've got an official band going and a little side project coming to the light. My official band, which is called Haloed Patriots, is writing our music and are preparing to enter the studio. Hopefully we'll have music out by then. However, we have changed the name of the band, but we will not announce that until we release our first track. The EP we are working is titled The Sower and the Reaper. It will have about 5-6 tracks and will feature a few cool people. Luke Dinan of Children of Wrath will be doing guest vocals, as well as mastering. Lucas Mendoza will be doing our mixing. And on guest vocals, my sister Corinne and one of my best friends Eva Hanagan will be doing backing female vocals on the EP in certain places. Holden Wilhoite of Longing to be Found will be our producer. And finally, we have Aaron Kirby of Ascending King/Thief on the Cross and Logan Thompson of Symphony of Heaven. My other project is called Uriah. That's all I'm revealing at this point. However, I will mention that two people mentioned in this post are apart of it.
I also have several reviews and interviews getting finished. I'm getting new article ideas all the time and I hope that you're excited for me to share them with you. I'm excited for what the rest of 2018 holds. I've been lucky enough for all these musical opportunities to come my way and I hope more will this year. Thank you all for your support over the course of these last several years, since I began this in November 2015. I'm so amazed that I've been able to do this for so long and receive so many amazing opportunities. Oh yeah and before I forget, a throwback comp this year, as well as a Christmas comp. Maybe a regular one if I can squeeze it in. And a re-release!!!! Flactorophia's Redemption of the Flesh. April 20, 2018. Be ready! Hope you're as excited as I am.
