The album starts off with "Abednego" and very Djentcore/Metalcore type style and hardcore vocals. There even seems to be some Post-hardcore sound.
"All Flesh is Grass" features Keyoung. The song has a very emotional intro. The song keeps the emotion with the guitars sounding kind of like Hopesfall or Bloodshed. There is a breakdown with vocals which don't clash the greatest with the breakdown but overall, it's a good track. It's very spirit-filled.
"Bite Your Tongue" is probably my favorite track on the album. 'Bite Your Tongue! Deceiving one!' The double bass pedal certainly adds the label of Metalcore to this album. Just the bare bones of Metalcore, but Metalcore nonetheless. The song takes a weird, kinda Mathcore/djent oriented bridge to the more melodic, somber part of the song.
"Doxology" starts with a tom fill like a hardcore intro. They actually sing the Doxology. 'Praise God, from whom all blessings flow, praise him all creatures here below, praise him above ye heavenly host, praise father, son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.' Near the end of the song, the vocalist comes in with some more passionate vocals.
"If Trees Could Talk" feels kind of like Metalcore/Djent 'If Trees Could Talk they would speak of great and mighty things'. There is a tinge of post-hardcore in the music. There is a peculiar bass/drum moment before the song goes into a weird mathy groove.
"Name Above All Names" is probably my second favorite song. The guitars have a more rock sound with double pedal Jesus metal drumming and the switching back-and-forth of the clean vocals and the harsh vocals. 'One Faith. One God. One Baptism.' The backing vocals for this line is incredible.
"To Be a Man" has more of a death metal groove with hardcore vocals. Sounds like Becoming the Archetype in some capacity. There are even death metal backing vocals. It's a good way to end this great album.
Sounds Like: Close Your Eyes, Becoming the Archetype, Hopesfall, Bloodshed
