News: New Upcoming Solid State Releases
2016 has been a great and terrible year for music so far! Great for the album releases, (Death Therapy - Demo) and sneak peaks (Zao - The Well Intentioned Virus, Death Requisite - Revisitation) and a terrible year because of deaths such as David Bowie, Prince, Merle Haggard. (For the record, I'm not fans of any of those musicians but I do respect they influenced a lot of music I enjoy to listen to).
Anyway back to the subject, Solid State Records has three upcoming album releases for 2016! The metalcore bands, Norma Jean, Forevermore, and Wolves at the Gate have upcoming albums this year, being Norma Jean's 7th, Forevermore's 4th and Wolves' 3rd. Norma Jean formed in 1997 in Georgia under the moniker Luti-Kriss but changed their name to Norma Jean due to the Georgia-born Rapper Ludacris. Forevermore started in 2009 in Indiana. They released their Solid State debut, Telos, in 2014. Wolves at the Gate started in 2008 in Dayton, Ohio. They have released two full-length albums on Solid State. Solid State Records started as a Christian hardcore and metal label in 1997 as an offshoot of Tooth and Nail Records to give bands such as Strongarm (1993-1998), Living Sacrifice (1989-2003, 2008-present), Spitfire (1996-2002, 2006-present) and Zao (1993-present) a place to call home.
Norma Jean's record, whose name is yet to be announced, is due to be released on September 9, 2016.
Forevermore's album, Integral, is due to be released later this year.
Wolves at the Gate's album is due to be out this year, with no release date or announced title.
